High Frame Rate: This mode aims for around 1080p at 60 FPS and it does a decent job at it, probably, better so than the Xbox Series X in High Frame Rate Mode. The graphics don’t change drastically either so you are not gaining much other than shadows and a bit of lighting plus the higher resolution. Quality Mode: It aims to bring us 1440p at 30 Fps as the frame rate target and it works pretty good at it specially with a VRR tv or monitor, but not needed whatsoever. On the other end we have the Xbox Series S which brings us to the table the same two modes as the Xbox Series X so let us see where it fits exactly with Subnautica Below Zero Xbox Series X|S Performance question: Subnautica Below Zero Xbox Series X|S & Xbox One X|S Performance is Acceptable 7 No worries though if you do not have a Variable Refresh Rate television of monitor. Yet Subnautica Below Zero Xbox Series X|S Performance with VRR (variable refresh rate) it feels just as smooth. High Frame Rate: It brings a nice 1440p resolution with 60 fps as the target frame rate, but it fails to keep it during heavy scenes and lots of buildings around the player. I personally believe this mode is good, but the High Frame Rate Mode offers a resolution that is more than enough to look sharp. These guys are fairly small and honestly deserve some slack here and there for what they are creating is not an easy thing and they aren’t charging full $60 for it. As a disclaimer remember that this developer is not a big developer like the ones that EA and Square Enix and others have. It is not as polished as this one, but it helps a great game feel and play more as it was intended to.

The original did get an Optimized for Xbox Series X|S Update which I invite you to check out by the way. This game even though not perfect it is a far cry from the original’s initial launch state and I’m glad!
The original Subnautica came out on the Xbox One consoles and it was a pain to play when it came to performance, but not Subnautica Below Zero Xbox Series X|S Performance.
